The deal, in plain language

Terms

Effective 23 October 2026

LaunchGrade is free, open-source software provided as-is. These terms cover the website, the CLI, the reports and the optional human audit. By using any of them, you agree to the points below.

1. Free and open source

The code is licensed under the Apache License 2.0. You may use, modify and distribute it under that license. The LaunchGrade name, logo and FastPress Labs brand are not granted for endorsement or confusing use.

2. What the grade means

LaunchGrade applies a transparent, opinionated checklist. A score is not a promise of traffic, conversions, revenue, search ranking, accessibility compliance or security. It is a snapshot of observable signals on a public page at one moment. Pages change; scanners can be blocked; context matters. Use the report as input, not as a guarantee.

3. Acceptable use

4. Human audits

The free human audit is good-faith advice from a small team, not professional consulting, legal advice or a guarantee of results. We may decline a request, or stop a conversation, if it is abusive, out of scope or dishonest. Sending a request does not create a client relationship.

5. Your content

You keep ownership of the URL, copy and materials you send. By submitting the form, you give us permission to read them and reply. If you explicitly agree to a launch story being published, we may quote it with attribution; otherwise we will not publish your message.

6. Third-party services

The site links to GitHub, Google Fonts and FormSubmit. Your use of those services is governed by their terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for their availability, content or data practices.

7. No warranty

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LaunchGrade and the site are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the tool will be uninterrupted, error-free or that it will catch every issue.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FastPress Labs and its contributors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or opportunities, arising from your use of LaunchGrade or reliance on a report. Because the tool is free, the aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid for it, which is zero.

9. Changes

We may update these terms as the project evolves. The effective date above will change and the new version will be published here. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
