FastPress Start is a free, zero-build launch page template from FastPress Labs. It exists because most first launches fail on the boring parts, not the big idea.
Why a template?
Before a launch, there is a long list of small things that make a page trustworthy: a clear offer, a working form, a privacy page, a share image, a sitemap, alt text, a focus ring. None of them are the product. All of them are checked by someone before they click “buy”.
FastPress Start puts those things in one readable folder. It is not a framework and it does not hide the HTML. You are meant to open it, change the words, and understand what you are shipping.
Who makes it
It is built and maintained by Meet Shah at FastPress Labs. The same small team makes LaunchGrade, the free audit CLI used on this page, and YouLauncher.
The code is Apache-2.0. The demo content is here to show the structure, not to be copied as your own story.
What it will not do
- It will not invent proof. If you do not have a testimonial, a metric or a logo, delete that section.
- It will not guarantee a conversion rate, a ranking or an A+ score.
- It will not replace a lawyer. The privacy and terms pages are plain-language starting points, not legal advice.
- It will not track visitors. There is no analytics, pixel or session replay in this template.
How it stays free
The template is free because it costs almost nothing to host and because a useful public artifact is a better advertisement than a gated PDF. Paid work, when it happens, is separate: audits, build sprints and scoped fixes. Nothing on this page is a fake case study for that work.
Use it well
Fork it. Replace the demo form endpoint in config.js. Rewrite the copy until it sounds like you. Run the free audit. Fix what applies. Ignore the rest.
If it helps you ship, that is the whole point.
